Accessibility Statement

1. Commitment to Accessibility

Banaedgezen Pty Ltd believes that high-quality audio engineering services should be accessible to all artists, producers, and engineers. We are committed to ensuring our digital presence is inclusive and provides an equitable experience for users with various disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

Our goal is to continuously improve the user experience by identifying and removing barriers that may hinder access to our mixing and mastering services.

2. Standards and Compliance

To measure our success, we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.

Our current status is "Partially Compliant". While the core architecture of the site is built with accessibility in mind, we acknowledge that some complex interactive elements may still require refinement. We are dedicated to the principles of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) to ensure no person is treated less favourably due to their disability.

3. Accessibility Features Implemented

We have integrated the following technical measures to enhance usability:

  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements, including the navigation menu and forms, are accessible via the Tab key.
  • Skip-Link: A hidden "Skip to Content" link is available at the top of every page to allow screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation.
  • Contrast and Colour: We use high-contrast colour palettes to ensure text is legible for users with low vision, meeting WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchies (h1-h6) and ARIA labels to provide structure for assistive technologies.
  • Alternative Text: All functional and informative images include descriptive alt text.
  • Reduced Motion: Our CSS respects the prefers-reduced-motion media query, disabling non-essential animations for users with vestibular disorders.

4. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations may exist. Some third-party integrated elements, such as the external form processing handled via FormSubmit (as detailed in our Privacy Policy), may have accessibility patterns that are outside our direct control.

Additionally, while we aim for full compatibility, some very old browser versions may not support the modern semantic HTML5 elements used on this site.

5. Feedback and Contact Information

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Banaedgezen website. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

We aim to respond to all accessibility enquiries within 24 hours, as per our business rules. Please include the specific page URL and a description of the issue you encountered.

6. Legal Framework and Jurisdiction

This statement is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes regarding the accessibility of our services that cannot be resolved through direct contact shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Melbourne.

We operate in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). For further information on your rights regarding digital access and discrimination, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), GPO Box 5288, Sydney NSW 2001, via https://www.oaic.gov.au.
